From the 6th to the 20th of November, at the Vostochny launch site (Tsiolkovsky, Amur Oblast, Russia), the teams of German Orbital Systems GmbH (GOS) and iSky Technology s.r.o. (iSky) conducted final preflight checkout procedures of the D-Star ONE SC subsystems and telecommunication modules.
All tests were completed successfully. Based on the results GOS and iSky concluded that the satellite is fully ready for launch. D-Star ONE was integrated into the deployer which was mounted on the Fregat upper stage’s adapter frame and successfully passed joint test with electrical systems of the upper stage.
The deployer, launch services and technical support for the D-Star ONE mission were provided by ECM Space Technology GmbH (Berlin, Germany).
The launch of D-Star ONE is scheduled for November 28, 2017 along with the Meteor-M №2-1 meteorological mission of the Russian State Space Corporation Roscosmos. On its way to orbit the main payload will be accompanied by 18 small satellites, 14 of which are CubeSats (including the D-Star ONE) launched by ECM Space Technology GmbH.
