D-Star ONE Phoenix final preparations

We would like to announce that the teams of German Orbital Systems GmbH (GOS) and iSky Technologies s.r.o. (iSky) have finished the prelaunch preparation of the D-Star ONE Phoenix 3U CubeSat. All satellite systems are operating normally and a joint decision to integrate the SC into the deployer was taken. GOS and iSky teams have developed the satellite in the shortest possible time working during the Christmas and New Year Holidays to be on schedule.

All satellite integration works and prelaunch checks of the deployer and Soyuz-2/Fregat launch system were conducted by ECM Space Technology GmbH with support of the Russian specialists from enterprises of the Russian State Space Corporation Roscosmos (Roscosmos). The launch of the D-Star ONE Phoenix satellite is scheduled on the 1st of February 2018 as part of a smallsat cluster under the Kanopus-V #3,4 Earth observation mission of Roscosmos.

German Orbital Systems GmbH

German Orbital Systems GmbH is a Berlin-based space company. It was founded in 2014 by former scientific staff of the Technical University of Berlin and is the first German company focused on the CubeSat market. ECM Space Technologies GmbH

ECM Space Technology is a German company, spin-off from the department of aeronautics of the Technical University of Berlin. It was founded in 2010 to provide products and technologies for small satellites, launch systems and launch services. Since 2010 ECM has performed numerous successful launches of German satellites and was appointed by the German Aerospace Center (DLR) as an authorized partner for small satellite launch solutions. Today ECM is one of the world’s leading launch providers for small satellites, especially of the CubeSat format.
